This baby is related to #2 and #4. Sometimes this pair gives us Red Factor babies, which means that there are additional red feathers other than on the tail. They are extremely beautiful. (well, in MY opinion they are!!)

This baby is the youngest, and related to #2 and #3. It will be weaned the end of April, maybe not until the beginning of May, as we allow the babies to go at their own rate. We encourage visits if you are near enough to make the drive!

This little one will be weaned the end of April. The photo is of another baby grey, since these guys don’t even have their eyes open yet. The DNA will be done when they are about 7 weeks old. Greys have by far the best speaking voices in the bird world.

This little baby is one of two in a clutch. “Ekkies” are quiet birds that like to be people watchers. They have extremely clear talking voices, and can talk almost as well as the Congo African Grey. Their coloring is phenomenal. They are dimorphic, so when we see the first feathers come out, we will know if each is a male or female.
This will be a vibrant red and violet colored FEMALE!

This is the younger of the two babies. This baby has tiny GREEN feathers popping out on his wing tips. It is a male!!

This baby is what we call a “day 1″ baby. Since it’s parents are not good feeders, I am feeding the baby from the day it hatched, Day 1. So far, it is a great eater, and so soft and cute… as only a mother can love a little dinosaur!

One of the photos shows her in a small bowl – she is not normally in this, it was just to show her owner how much she has grown in the past weeks. I’d hate for anyone to think that the babies don’t have enough housing space here!

This is the first baby of the season. There should be quite a few more in the coming months.
