Illiger Mini Macaw

The Illiger mini macaw is one of the rarest of the mini macaws. Many have been held back in breeding programs in the past years to help their population grow. Each year, we sell only a couple babies.

This year, we will only have one. (photo from another year.)

They are friendly birds, good talkers, and more colorful than some of the others. They are in the middle of the size range for the minis.

These babies are very tiny, as they have just hatched. So, one photo is of them now, and the other is how they will look in several months!

This baby was hatched on the same day as it’s brother/sister. not rare, but not common either! The main photo is of their parents.

Solomon Island Eclectus

We won’t know if this is a boy or girl for several weeks, until it starts to get the feathers. If the feathers are green, we have a male, and if the feathers are red, it is a female. Both are stunningly colorful.

Eclectus parrots do well in a household that will allow them to be independent, and one that doesn’t expect to have a bird cuddling with the owner every day. Ekkies are exceptional talkers, and generally have a very clear voice.

This baby will be ready around the first weekend in June also.

They are funny, happy-go-lucky birds, that easily learn tricks, and can speak better than Umbrellas and Moluccans.

Double Yellow Head Amazon

Babies just hatched the beginning of April.

DYH amazons are extremely good talkers. They and the Yellow Nape tie for being the best singers in all the amazon family, and most of all the bird world!

They can be temperamental around breeding season once they hit maturity, but if the owner becomes well educated about the amazon, they make very good pets.
